People Are Talking About Comm-Tronics

What Our Customers are Saying

Comm-Tronics is proud of the products, services and customer relationships we have developed over the years. We measure our success in years of customer service rather than in dollars spent.

We are pleased to present a few customer comments for your review. Caution! These customers are biased, subjective, one-sided and very partial. Why? Because they have experienced the first-hand benefits of doing business with Comm-Tronics.

“Thank you so much! During these stressful times for the bedside nurses on Covid units, having this taken care of so quickly truly means a lot to them.

To you it may not seem like a big deal to have done this tonight – but to them, it meant someone cared, that someone did something after hours to help improve their workflow and decrease their exposure to this virus.”

– Joy Reynolds, MSN, RN, PCCN-K, Nurse Manager, Greater Baltimore Medical Center

“Randy and Team: I just want to say thank you for everything you have done. You have been amazing to work with. I appreciate all your employees that helped me with this project. Everyone was so helpful and very professional. It wasn’t the best planned project and I am sorry about that. We had just a small time to plan and execute. I truly can’t say enough nice things about your group!”

– Meredith Holahan, Senior Project Manager/Interiors, MedStar Georgetown University Hospital

“Good morning, this is Ann and Kate with Gilchrist. We just wanted you to know that your employees (performing our nurse call installation) are very respectful. They work hard and always communicate with staff about what they are doing and what rooms that they complete. Great job to these guys!”

– Tovinia Johnson, Gilchrist Cares

“Thank you so much for the in-service here at NIA/MedStar Harbor Hospital. I just wanted to write to tell you how kind and courteous your staff was while installing the new nurse call system. They were very polite and never seemed to mind that our staff was often in the way of what they were doing. We really appreciated that. Enjoy your day and thanks again to you and your staff!”

– Lisa Turek, RN, National Institute on Aging at MedStar Harbor Hospital

“We are grateful to the Comm-Tronics team for their flexibility and efficiency in completing our project. We were in our busy season and getting the space emptied to do the installation was challenging. Your team did a great job of adjusting their schedules to accommodate our volumes and protect the safety of our newborns. We love our new system and our infant code blue buttons for patient safety.”

– Katherine M. Murray, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, Women’s and Children’s Service Line Director, Frederick Health

“You guys are awesome. Thanks for the help and quick response.”

– Jacob Verdis, Greater Baltimore Medical Center

“I just wanted someone to know that it is nice when I have to call for service and I get a familiar and friendly voice. I have worked with Ann for a few years and I am always glad when she answers the phone. Some days it’s hard to keep your patience but Ann always knows what to say to make me smile and laugh. I hope one day we get the opportunity to meet.”

– Margie Redgraves, Administrative Assistant/Facilities, MedStar Harbor Hospital

“I have nothing but praise for the service I receive from your company. I have been a customer of Comm-Tronics for a long time and the service is of the highest quality. From the person who answers the telephone to the person who takes my request and schedules my appointments. They’re always professional, courteous, and kind. The technicians who come out to work for us always listen and go the extra mile to take care of our problems. They’ll never leave until the work is completed and if for any reason they are not done, they come back the next day to complete it. They are trustworthy. GREAT COMPANY, GREAT STAFF, AND GREAT TECHNICIANS! “

– Novia Minto-Muir, Telecommunications Manager, Sibley Memorial Hospital

“Thank you for the coordination! A big shout out to the guys from Comm-Tronics for their quick, orderly installation process. We hardly know they’re here, but when we do, they have been a pleasure! Thank you!”

– Verna Sellers, MSN, RN, CNML, Senior Nurse Manager, Bayhealth Medical Center

“Just wanted you to know. We had a problem in our new OR Room with Code Blue and Emergency Assist Buttons. The problem was small, but was escalated out of my control. To the point Jim came out…to meet with us at 5:00am. Jim is very easy to work with and I would say works well under pressure. Jim is a true asset to your company and a Champion of Service Excellence.”

– Jake Wrzosek, Clinical Engineering, UM St. Joseph Medical Center

“I want to thank the Comm-Tronics team for your help in supplying the radios. It was a pleasure working with you. You made the process nice and smooth. I wish all our accounts were like yours!”

– Rosalie Thompson, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center

“I have to say with Josh taking control of the testing and repairing activity for the nurse call system, things have been going great. Today he even hand delivered my reports, I’m very pleased of this effort…I think your company should put Josh in for some type of award as he communicates to me very well and is on top of his work.”

– Grady Chavis, Facilities Manager, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center/CBRE

“You and your team are good to us, you support us and help us when we need it, and you are hardworking and genuine…just overall good people. You can have the best product on the market, but if you don’t have the right team supporting it and the users, the product is worthless. As I know you know, you have the right team with the right product.”

– Ashley B. Shelter, MSN, RN, Clinical Informatics Specialist, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital

“I wish all our vendor relationships were like this. But I am not surprised with this level of customer service. When Steve realized we could control the lights in the room with some minor changes to the install, I knew we had a professional team to partner with that wanted to insure we could use the system to improve our patient experience. This is the kind of approach that makes a partner, not just a vendor delivering a product. It is very much appreciated by our team and AGH!”

– Sherry Whitt, Director Medical Surgical Nursing, Atlantic General Hospital

“I would like to take this time and thank [the] crew for doing a great job. They all were working very hard to get our system up and working. This is not an easy place to work sometimes but they worked with the residents and got the job done. We interrupted those guys sometimes with problems and they just took off and fixed it. Also, I would like to thank everyone that is on-call at night and weekends. If I called them, they helped walk me through it on the phone, if that didn’t solve the issue they were here. This new nurse call system is very important to us and I think it is working great. Your guys trained us on how the systems works and did a great job. Comm-Tronics has done a great job for us and I would recommend your company to everyone. Thanks again and I hope we can continue doing business together…”

– Bernie Owens, Director of Maintenance, Charlotte Hall Veterans Home

“Rob was our installer for the call bell system in the Emergency Department. Rob was very accommodating in working around the ED volumes. He adjusted his schedule to do the installation during the night shift to avoid disruption of patient care during our peak volumes on days. He informed myself or the charge nurse each morning of what rooms he would need closed and what to expect each night. He took time to explain the system, how it worked etc., to the staff after working all night. He was always polite and courteous to staff and respectful of the patients in the department while working.”

– Teresa Ossie, Emergency Department, MedStar Union Memorial Hospital

“I wanted to take a moment to convey my thanks for Dave and Jim. They have run the ball from the beginning, doing the installation for our new digital radio system here at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. They worked tirelessly to make sure everything was working properly and even made sure that we had coverage in areas where did not previously have service. If only all of our vendors had the same professionalism and caring demeanor that they displayed. They are truly an asset and I look forward to working with them again.”

– Kim Dixon, Fleet Sergeant, MedStar Washington Hospital Center

“I wanted to take a moment to provide you with some feedback on one of your employees. Steve’s accountability to resolve problems along with his technical knowledge make him a very valuable asset to your company. We have never had an issue at MFSMC that Steve and his extensive knowledge has not been able to provide excellent service on — regardless of the hour of the day or the severity of the call. Please inform Steve of our appreciation.”

– Tony Gwiazdowski, Director of Clinical Engineering, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center

“Thank you for sending your technician out to our nursing home. What a professional employee and a great technician for finding the trouble we had in our call system. Thank you for all your company has done for us.”

– Frank Mills, Director of Maintenance, Crofton Care & Rehabilitation Center

“I want to personally thank the technicians who were on site yesterday. They were both professional and efficient. Within a matter of hours, they diagnosed and repaired the issue, which has been haunting us for several months. The emergency call system is now fully up to speed and operating properly. Thanks for your resolution.”

– Richard M. Ludlow, MHSA, LNHA, Executive Director, Fort Washington Health Center

“I wanted to take a moment to let you know how appreciative we are for your quick response to the needs we had on our BOS unit. Special acknowledgement should be given to Andrew as he did a great job while on-site. He was professional and polite and did a great job. Andrew continues in the great line of technicians that Comm-Tronics sends to Sheppard Pratt.”

– John Shirk, Director of Telecom / Low Voltage Project Manager, Sheppard Pratt Health System

“All 3G rooms have now been upgraded to the new system. It went fairly smoothly and the guys who were working up here were great. They were quiet and respectful and really tried very hard to keep the equipment out of the way. The tech we had most contact with was exceptional. He made the transition as easy as possible.”

– Lori Lingg, Unit 3G, Frederick Health Hospital

“I filled this position in 2019. I had no one to pass the baton to me and show me the day-to-day, saying it was difficult is an understatement. Dave is one of those vendors I prayed every vendor would be like. Patient, understanding, willing to go beyond (even when I drove him crazy). His demeanor, tone, delivery and follow-up to ensure we were given the proper service. Thank you for having an employee like Dave, who is a great representative of your company. And thank you on behalf of White Oak Medical Facility.”

– Vicki Brunson, Facility Coordinator, Adventist Healthcare

“I wanted to let you know how much help Dale assists me with all of the Change Requests submissions for the servers. Dale took it upon himself to create a document that provides the required information for the Change Request (i.e. description, task plan, test plan and back-out plan) before I need to enter the Change Request. Needless to say, this is a huge help as it allows me to enter them pretty quickly. My understanding from my counterparts at the other hospitals is that Dale provides this document for them as well and his assistance and expertise is greatly appreciated.”

– Lisa Matteo, IS Analyst, Information Systems, MedStar Harbor Hospital

“I work in ICS/Telecom at GBMC. Years ago, I worked with in-house pagers and got to know Dave. Now 15 years later, I was asked to get a quote for some additional hardware. I called and asked for Dave and was informed he was off work for the day. I got an email from Tami as to what I needed. I couldn’t let this pass without telling someone [at Comm-Tronics] how great a staff you have. All too often in customer service we only hear the bad. So I thought you deserved to hear the good!”

– Kathleen Parisi, ICS/Telecom, Greater Baltimore Medical Center

“I just wanted your company to know that Ann is wonderful to work with on our accounts and she faithfully calls to get status’ on invoices. She is a pleasure to work with.”

– Waleta Garrett, Financial Associate, Professional Support Services, MedStar Health

“Josh was a breath of fresh air this morning when he came to troubleshoot a Code Blue problem. He took the time to explain everything to me and what needed to be corrected. I know you’re thinking that’s what he is supposed to do, but we had some awful techs lately from other companies. And what can I say about Dave? He takes my calls and helps me even when it’s not his job. He is always ready to help at a moment’s notice. Thank you for employing such wonderful customer service friendly people.”

– Lt. Sandra Cessna, Security Operations Supervisor, MedStar Montgomery Medical Center

“Great work by Steve. This “call order issue” was really a mess…seems like he got to the bottom of it…and seems to have ‘future proofed’ it from happening again. It also seems like Steve has become more ‘intimate” with FHH…so him having knowledge will be helpful going forward.”

– Alex Nason, Director of Innovation, Frederick Health Hospital

“Bon Secours has been a long time Comm-Tronics customer and Dave has consistently been a pleasure to work with. I have absolutely no background in radio communications, but Dave has always been kind and patient with me. He has taught me a lot, which has made me better equipped to do my job and keep the hospital prepared in the event of an emergency. I look forward to doing more business with Comm-Tronics in the future because I know we are in capable hands.”

– Jocelyn Pope, RN, BSN, Emergency Preparedness Coordinator, Bon Secours Baltimore Health System

“I would like to say that when I call Comm-Tronics for anything, the service is great. Everyone is always professional and take care of any issues we report. Thank you again for everything you do for us.”

– Cindy Woodward, Administrative Coordinator, MedStar Harbor Hospital
